双方将会共同对更多不同品种的牛只进行测序和组装，以更快了解各个牛种群的遗传变异。此次合作将有助于开发用于牛基因组选择和其他基因组技术的商业工具，从而加快开展育种项目，增进全球食物（肉类和乳制品）产量。
